Unreality Hey new president is your wig too tight Nothing that has left your mouth sounds like it is right Maybe it’s the chemicals in your tanning spray Clouding your integrity leeching in your brain I think that you’re confused your words don’t make it true Spitting out these fallacies doesn’t change reality Hey new president are your balls that small Forcing you to compensate as we watch appalled Did a brown boy beat you up when you were a kid Holding grudges all your life is now way to exist I think that you’re confused your words don’t make it true Spitting out these fallacies doesn’t change reality I know I should be angry but I am just confused Sometimes in the wee hours I wonder what to do I think I’d think it funny even quite absurd If you weren’t the devil destroying this good earth

Baby you can have it all, baby you can build a wall You wear a suit, you wear a sneer, you are peddling hubris and fear (2X) Does it make you feel complete sending out a hateful tweet Tell us another alternative fact, smoke and mirrors to distract (2X) Your pants are on fire Stakes couldn’t be higher You know that divided we fall We gotta show up We gotta shout out We gotta stand up for all Is this reality tv? You are not the boss of me Commander in Chief’s a megalomaniac and when you grab this pussy this pussy grabs back Grab this pussy this pussy grabs back Honey play to your base, honey lie to my face Liberty and justice under attack but when you grab this pussy this pussy grabs back, Grab this pussy this pussy grabs back We are the sirens We won’t be silent Ain’t gonna kneel down and crawl We gonna show up We gonna shout out We gonna stand up for all How can we bridge this divide Each in our tribes No compromise How can ever break through Agree on what’s true In a culture of fear and lies (we need a-) 1.Culture of kindness 2.Culture of kindness 3.Culture of kindness Instead of this blindness Instead of this blindness Instead of this blindness We gotta stand up for all You know that divided we fall This is a clarion call

FYQ You are not my queen You won't be my king Fuck your silver spoon And your privilege See how they run See how they hide Like three blind mice Running for their lives I won't let you consume me You cannot subjugate me You think I'll lay down for you? I won't let you consume me You cannot subjugate me You think I'll lay down for you?

We all need more love We all need more love When you think you’ve had enough We all need more love We all live in evil times We all live in evil times Take this message and pass it on down the line We all live in evil times

Snowflake" by Craig Werth, February 28, 2017 I’m a Snowflake, I’m a Lib-tard, I didn’t fare so well out in the school yard, so it goes, with these tender hearts, in the company of those who would tear them apart. I’m a Snowflake, I’m a Lib-tard, Sometimes I worry late at night and I pray hard, that your daughters, and your granddaughters, too, can run faster than those men, who cast their vote with you. I’m a Snowflake, I’m a Lib-tard, I am creative, I’m a wild card, and I’m sitting here, in the nursing home, singing songs for your mother so she isn’t all alone. I’m a Snowflake, I’m a Lib-tard, I’ll my best to serve the others while I’m standing guard, so it goes, with these tender hearts, in the company of those who would tear them apart. in the company of those who would tear us apart.

Listenin' Up Ain't been this bad in a while Ain't been this bad in a while So perhaps we were due to stand on trial Ain't been this bad in a while These people, this sky, and that dirt These people, this sky, and that dirt And all full of love, but right now we're hurt These people, this sky, and that dirt The statues in your hometown All the statues in your hometown You best make good on their word or take 'em down The statues in your hometown So listen up for what you don't I'm listenin' up for what I don't know Sure, it new to us now, give it Hell and go And listen up for what you don't know Listen up for what you don't know

Return to the home that feeds our soul We’ll know who we are Welcome the knife that could save our life We’ll know who we are Insist fires cease, wave a flag in peace We’ll know who we are Strengthen our spine, cross the finish line We’ll know who we are Release someone’s heart, when we’ve grown apart We’ll know who we are Until that time, we’ll hide behind the smiles they thought were real And all the times we say we’re fine but that’s not how we really feel Turning words into action, that’s a way we heal all the times we say we’re fine but that’s not how we really feel Refuse, don’t give in to everyone’s whims We’ll know who we are Shed the old skin, grow the light from within We’ll know who we are Demand a fair raise, a living wage We’ll know who we are Set some aside for our neighbors to thrive We’ll know who we are Until that time, we’ll hide behind the smiles they thought were real And all the times we say we’re fine but that’s not how we really feel Turning words into action, that’s a way we heal all the times we say we’re fine, but that’s not how we really feel Put the last drink down on the bar Ooh ooh Ooh ooh We’ll know who we are Forsake a faith to find our own way Ooh ooh Ooh ooh We’ll know who we are Move to a new town, one-way bound Ooh ooh Ooh ooh We’ll know who we are Accept a death, share a final breath Ooh ooh Ooh ooh We’ll know who we are Until that time, we’ll hide behind the smiles they thought were real And all the times we say we’re fine but that’s not how we really feel Turning words into action, that’s a way through fear and all the times we say we’re fine, but that’s not how we really feel Stand up! We know we've had enough We say we're fine but we're extraordinary Don't hold back! Cause of what we think we lack No one’s approval will be necessary All the times we say we're fine when we're not fine, we’re saying We don't really matter Stand tall! Be true to who we are and we'll awaken To our eternal power! To our internal power! To our eternal power!

No Birds what does it mean that the birds disappeared what does it mean that icicles wouldn’t form was it worse than we’d heard? what does it mean the hills turned inward what does it mean and the mountains withdrew was it worse than we’d heard? what does it mean that kings are gone what does it mean that fairness is dead was it worse that we heard? what does it mean, this disconnect what does it mean, this nervousness was it worse than we’d heard? what does it mean everything’s got weight what does it mean the air is so thick was it worse than we’d heard? was it worse than we’d heard? was it worse than we’d heard? sure you can, you do but why do you want to? grab an extra coat because the things that used to float ARE COMING DOWN

Dispossessed Stars are made irrelevant I can barely pay the rent Every night I read the news and go to bed confused Watching as the scene unfolds I’m losing all control Everything has gone to shit how do we see through it There’s not a stratosphere far enough away from here To get me where I need to go Feels like I’m hovering floating up here suffering Watching as the world explodes below Words are so divisive I’m on autopilot Sometimes I get so mad I can’t talk to my own dad There is such a disconnect we are dispossessed Everywhere around me it rings so profoundly There’s not a stratosphere far enough away from here To get me where I need to go Feels like I’m hovering floating up here suffering Watching as the world explodes below Maybe there’s a recipe maybe we need therapy Maybe we should stop and start again I don’t have a fucking clue how do we keep chugging through Blow the whole thing up and make amends

Fountain of Youth Author: Chris George “I’m going to protest growing old Slowing down and feeling cold Achy bones and achy back Hard of hearing and heart attacks No more wrinkles, no more creams, no more loss of self-esteem I’m going to boycott Geritol Beta blockers and Tylenol Doctor Visits, and MRI’sI’d trade them all to rejuvenize No more aging, no more shots, no more pain and no skin spots We’re going to rise up in one voice We want solutions, we want choice The golden years have lost their luster It’s beginning to feel a bit like Custer” No shrinking brain and no more falls No more body part recalls We’re out to find the fountain of youth We’ll carry signs and speak the truth Our numbers growing more each day One goal , one song, down with decay No more aging, no more shots, no more pain and no skin spots

Fear Itself We like to blame someone else for feeling this way Easier to rage than to stop and get your head straight His angry face makes our faces angry And who can tell the difference anyway I wanna be grateful, not hateful Don’t wanna let the hate in Grateful, not hateful Don’t wanna let the fear win We all know who the real fake news is Tweeting lies from the oval office It’s harder than ever to get a grip But truth matters more than ignorant bliss I wanna be grateful, not hateful Don’t wanna let the hate in Grateful, not hateful Don’t wanna let the fear win There’s a better way than click and share bait And I’m not gonna bury my head in the sand With love in my heart I will participate And with love in yours we’ll make our stand I want to be grateful, not hateful Don’t wanna let the hate in Grateful, not hateful We will not let the fear win

“We Rise Up (We Won't Build A Wall)” By Christiana Athena Verse 1: Grey skies in November Filter through our minds. Drifting through time, Like we’ve got no lifeline. Cold in our bones Sends us shivering home To nestle and burrow and atone. Pre Chorus: You take the hard work and you burn it down, But we won’t let you stamp it out. As you can see we are all around, And we’re rising up from the ground. Chorus: We won’t back down We won’t let up by day one We were already fed up We won’t build a wall We won’t build a wall We hold each other up So we don’t fall Verse 2: Like seeds in the ground that you tried to bury, We rise up with even more fury. We honor the heroes that came before, And over time we thrive even more. Pre Chorus Chorus Verse 3: You fuel new generations of warriors, Guilded further, fighting like love soldiers. With a message of peace and love, With our hands we lift each other up above. Pre Chorus Bridge: You can hear we are rising up You can hear we rise up Verse 4: We rise above the fog, the lies, the government ties, your bought and sold allies. We change the world and we find the sunshine, Because it’s our time Chorus: We won’t build a wall We won’t build a wall We hold each other up So we don’t fall

The Hypothetical Now you say I never turn you on like a radio Now you say I never turn you on like a chemical Nothing in the world ever seemed so wrong it’s unacceptable Worried the results are too far gone it’s hypothetical I get political it’s unavoidable these days I know sometimes we don’t see eye to eye And I can be inflexible From where I sit the blatancy Is well past incredible Remember when we thought that nothing in the world Could ever get between us We laughed when we read that men are from mars And women are from Venus Lately people seem to say what they want And somehow it makes it true Every single day we’re made afraid With this narrowing view No one in my circle has ever accused me Of being an optimist But people are yelling out of car windows Thinking they’re anonymous Now you say I never turn you on like a radio Now you say I never turn you on like a chemical Nothing in the world ever seemed so wrong it’s unacceptable Worried the results are too far gone it’s hypothetical I get political it’s unavoidable these days Everyone seems to love watching a train wreck They say it’s human nature what would you expect Welcome to the way the world erases itself Maybe we should say our farewells Please believe the things you see please believe in me Know that what I say is true I am still in love with you
