When I’m Around Long on the concrete Holding heartbeat and coming down Calm coming hardly I’ll come on quietly and make the rounds Contact was the hard thing and coming down here from far away And though I don’t know some things I’ll tell you something when I’m around Hold on one minute Hold on I’ll tell you one thing That I’m worth something When I’m around

Wobbling 02:21
Wobbling I’ve been walking on my hands Switching my perspective I’m on the heels of some new truth Like a gumshoe detective But then I wobble and I topple And I need another bottle There is something like a string Or maybe it’s electric Do you feel it in your body Seems like we’re magnetic But then I feel it growing weaker And I go and find a dealer Show me every little thing I will wax it so it glows There’s a way we fit together But I shouldn’t presuppose

Unraveling 03:44
Unraveling Am I a radio tonight Are you listening from afar I’m all these satellites floating overhead Sometimes things get so bizarre Wrap that string around your finger Watch it slowly turn to purple Walk out to the water sand waves are talking Spin yourself around in circles I know there’s something happening The world is unraveling You said distance adds perspective But this is not what I expected I got so weary of myself I took to punching all the mirrors Standing on the rooftop in our underwear Yelling but no one ever hears us You’re feeling heavy from the rain I guess it’s like that some days You’re just a flag flapping in the air Everyone walks by like they’re afraid I know there’s something happening The world is unraveling You said distance adds perspective But this is not what I expected

Idle, Idle 03:24
Idle, Idle Idle Idle I sit by idle while the state and kind of my idle time is passed. And while I sit by idly I’d like to pine but ideally I’ll just idle by In a not-so idle mind Just to pass the time. Idly mind my own State of mind. I’ll sit and pass the time. I’ll just idle by In a not-so idle mind Just to pass the time. Idly mind my own State of mind. I’ll sit and get passed by time.

Weakening 02:44
Weakening I’ve been watching you fall It’s happening fast There’s this way that you breathe Your lungs are collapsed I could tell you the truth But you’d never buy it You’re a weakening state A country divided There’s a remedy but the cost is great And you don’t know what you’ll need Your enemies gather They hide in the woods All around there signs You misunderstood I watch from the wings Without tipping the scales A hammer so heavy Can’t help a nail There’s a remedy but the cost is great And you don’t know what you’ll need You’re a memory a blink of time A muscle gone slack in defeat A moment of some defeat There is nothing left

Buzzing 02:51
Buzzing Bee bound to its buzzing looked to the site of wondering To see what all the buzz of the business was about got busy and threw it out. And each bee bound to buzzing on through that site of wondering Forgot how to wander off and on past the buzz that they already knew. Why take the time to leave the nest when the buzz and the business is you? Why fly when the hive is you? And me bound to my buzzing, lost sight of the site of wondering Pluck the wings from my back and wipe the honey from my eyes Could the buzz that was so ordinary be the business of being alive?

Never Ending 02:34
Never Ending Do you worry they don’t see you Do you show them all you need to Is it scary to be open In a system that is choking Cut your heart into pieces Light it up then eat it You said love’s a delusion I just need to feel human All we ever do is walk around in circles Yelling out our names pining for some purpose I know you’re struggling and tired of pretending Sorry friend there’s no never ending

Laverne 03:21
Laverne Let loose upon the time that’s passing Lit a fire to heat it up and let her know that I am passing by on ships we built out of the sun. I’ll align the time it takes to place a flame on top the highest peak We’ll go, and she’ll be laughing. Caught in ships we built out of the sun. Oh Laverne, hold me in. Oh Laverne, sink or swim. And in the end, when all is done And all the flames I lit are dead and gone I know that I’ll be laughing Lost in ships we built out of the sun.

Shifting 02:18
Shifting Low hanging branches scratching at my head Reminding me of things I should forget There’s nothing wrong with me tonight that can’t be cured With a drink or a kiss or some words And shadows always make me feel at ease These days I swear I wear it on my sleeves Shake out the cobwebs collecting in my brain Noticing how forests are arranged There’s some intention fettered out in time A strategy a purpose some design And the water as it wobbles from this height Moving endlessly it glistens and invites Tonight there’s shifting some changing some break I’ll be judged and atone for mistakes Tonight I’m an angel that hovers through the air I’ll dangle weightlessly fade and disappear
