Low hanging branches scratching at my head
Reminding me of things I should forget
There’s nothing wrong with me tonight that can’t be cured
With a drink or a kiss or some words
And shadows always make me feel at ease
These days I swear I wear it on my sleeves
Shake out the cobwebs collecting in my brain
Noticing how forests are arranged
There’s some intention fettered out in time
A strategy a purpose some design
And the water as it wobbles from this height
Moving endlessly it glistens and invites
Tonight there’s shifting some changing some break
I’ll be judged and atone for mistakes
Tonight I’m an angel that hovers through the air
I’ll dangle weightlessly fade and disappear
